Here at FAMSA Grahamstown (Makanda), we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. FAMSA provides relationship counselling services to support individuals, families,organizations, communities and society to build,restore and sustain functional relationships. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits, because we believe that healthy and stable relationships promote healthy individuals ,families and communities.

Counselling

Confidential counselling for individuals, couples and families.

- Relationship counselling

- Divorce counselling

- Parent-child counselling

- Premarital counselling

- Counselling for rape survivors, HIV/AIDS counselling

Training

Basic counselling skills, trauma debriefing, HIV/AIDS information, Group works and Parenting skills

Education

Sharing information with the youth about self-esteem, family relationships, sexuality and sex, HIV/Aids, rape and child abuse. Furthermore, educate students on communication, how to solve problems, make effective decisions etc.

Workshops

Famsa offers range of workshops on topics such as domestic violence, rape, child abuse, parenting and infant bonding etc.
